The Finger Lakes region of upstate New York has a long, storied history of grape-growing and winemaking, but its sparkling wine production in the late-1800s is what initially put the area on the world’s wine map. With vineyards planted on mineral-rich soils, on slopes that hug the glacially-carved lakes, and a cool climate similar to many of the finest Old World wine regions, the Finger Lakes is an ideal terroir for making world-class sparkling wines.
TASTING NOTES
A shimmering silver-yellow color with a persistent mousse, on the nose this sparkling wine displays fruit tones of green apple, golden peach & baked lemon, notes of toasted brioche, and racy mineral aromas of gravel & limestone. Refined bubbles and a brisk acidity hit the palate, followed by flavors of lemon cream, orange blossom & stone fruit, all leading to a long, mineral finish.

Empire Estate was created to showcase an incredible winemaking region that we New Yorkers have right in our own backyard: The Finger Lakes. We crafted this wine to express the dry style of this dynamic grape - Riesling doesn't always have to be sweet! We hope you enjoy yet another one of the many reasons why we love New York.
TASTING NOTES
Shimmering silver-gold in color, on the nose there are intense mineral aromas of crushed gravel, wet shale & limestone, combined with notes of green & golden apple, peach, white flower & lemon oil. An intense burst of acidity hits the palate, followed by flavors of lime, grapefruit pith and ripe orange & apricot, all leading to a lengthy, mineral-focused finish.

Made predominately from one vineyard site, this Reserve blend is a response to a wine that rose to the top in the cellar and had seemed special from the moment the grapes were picked.
TASTING NOTES
Golden-yellow in color, this Riesling delivers aromas of yellow apple, dried lemon, candied ginger and fresh herbs, all backed by nervy river rock & smoky mineral notes. Intense & focused on the palate, with significant richness and weight to balance the wine’s acidity, the finish carries mineral & fruit tones with great length to drink today, or lay down for future enjoyment.
